Regardless of whether stress or trauma is physical, emotional or psychological in origin, ultimately it is the body that responds, and these unresolved fight, flight and freeze patterns need to be discharged and released in order for us to return to a calm and relaxed state. Whenever our body experiences trauma (death of near and dear ones, accidents, mishaps etc) some of its effects and reactions involve feelings and experiences of denial, withdrawal, fear and outrage, sleeplessness and flashbacks. Trauma Release is a body oriented technique, where we compassionately meet these reactions in a way that brings about our healing. This is a holistically oriented therapy which integrates the mental, emotional, spiritual and physical aspects of us by helping us to become aware of our bodies and the sensations we experience through them.
